LOPLAS – Loveable Places

Idea: Sharing and network of peaceful places
In hard times, especially like in 2020, the news is full of disease, death, war, environmental degradation and suffering. During social withdrawal, digital media such as smartphones and virtual spaces have become indispensable as daily companions. But it also makes it hard to escape the frightening news.
It is therefore all the more important for the human psyche to create mental freedom and not to lose sight of the beauty of our planet. One way to do this would be to direct our gaze to peaceful places, to seek them out, find them and share them with other people. Visiting such a peaceful place creates well-being and inner peace. The more people discover and share such places, the more peaceful sentiment could spread worldwide and reinvent the meaning of “world peace”. Even if this sounds utopian, it would be a new start.
With my project LOPLAS – Loveable Places, I want to offer an antipole to fear and despair, using digital and social media. I would like to invite people from all around the world to share loveable places and thus become part of a peaceful network themselves.
If you would like to participate in the project with a post, please send me a loveable place, where you can find inner peace, by e-mail to loplas@loplas.com. The place should be easily accessible and ideally free to visit. The material should include up to 10 photos, GPS coordinates, short description, accessibility by public or private transport and copyright of the pictures. (Selfies are not included, however, as the focus is on the place itself).
By using digital and social media, more and more LOPLAS will be found and shared.
The aim is a worldwide archive of peaceful and (as far as possible) freely accessible places.
LOPLAS is a recommendation for quiet connoisseurs of soulful places.
Idee: Austausch und Netzwerk friedlicher Plätze
In harten Zeiten, besonders wie in 2020, sind die Nachrichten voll von Krankheit, Tod, Krieg, Umweltzerstörung und Leid. Während des sozialen Rückzugs sind digitale Medien wie Smartphone und virtuelle Räume als tägliche Begleiter unverzichtbar geworden. Man kann sich dadurch aber auch kaum den beängstigenden Neuigkeiten entziehen.
Umso wichtiger für die menschliche Psyche ist es daher, sich mentale Freiräume zu verschaffen und die Schönheit unseres Planeten nicht aus den Augen zu verlieren. Eine Möglichkeit hierzu wäre zB den Blick auf friedliche Orte zu lenken, sie zu suchen, zu finden und mit anderen Menschen teilen. Der Besuch eines solch friedlichen Ortes erzeugt Wohlbefinden und inneren Frieden. Je mehr Menschen solche Orte entdecken und teilen, desto mehr friedliche Stimmung könnte sich weltweit verbreiten und den Begriff des “Weltfriedens” neu erfinden. Auch wenn dies utopisch klingt, wäre es ein Neustart.
Mit meinem Projekt LOPLAS – Loveable Places möchte ich einen Gegenpol zu Angst und Verzweiflung anbieten und dafür die digitalen und sozialen Medien nutzen. Ich möchte Menschen aus der ganzen Welt einladen, liebenswerte Orte zu teilen und somit selbst Teil eines friedlichen Netzwerkes zu werden.
Wenn Ihr Euch mit einem Beitrag an dem Projekt beteiligen möchtet, dann sendet mir bitte einen liebenswerten Ort, an dem Ihr innere Ruhe findet, per E-Mail an loplas@loplas.com. Der Ort sollte leicht zugänglich und im Idealfall kostenlos besuchbar sein. Das Material soll bis zu 10 Fotos, GPS Koordinaten, Kurzbeschreibung, Erreichbarkeit mit öffentlichen oder privaten Verkehrsmitteln und copyright der Bilder enthalten. (Selfies werden allerdings nicht berücksichtigt, da der Fokus auf dem Ort selbst liegt.)
Durch Nutzung der digitalen und sozialen Medien sollen weitere LOPLAS gefunden und geteilt werden.
Ziel ist ein weltweites Archiv friedlicher und (weitestgehend) frei zugänglicher Orte.
LOPLAS ist eine Empfehlung für stille Genießer beseelter Orte.
